Our products
- A PVC (polyvinyl chloride) window features a 100% PVC frame. It stands out for its affordable price, ease of maintenance and insulation qualities. PVC is recognized for its superior energy efficiency.
- Hybrid windows (PVC and aluminum) have a PVC frame covered with aluminum on the outside. Hybrid windows combine the advantages of both materials, offering a superior alternative. They provide good energy efficiency thanks to the PVC, while benefiting from the strength and durability of the aluminum. The latter enables the design of larger windows.

In Quebec, double-glass has become the norm, and triple-glass is available as an option. For optimal energy efficiency, triple glass provides superior thermal insulation. Triple glass can be highly effective if your windows face north or are situated near living areas. However, other criteria may influence your choice of glass. To help you make the best choice, we invite you to contact one of our representatives.

To check if your bedroom window complies, multiply the height of the opening by its width. Be sure to measure the dimensions of the opening free of any obstructions, not the dimensions of the window frame. The result is the opening area of your window; this figure must be equal to or greater than 0.35 m² (3.7 ft²).
The National Building Code has established minimum egress standards. Your city may have stricter rules. We recommend that you check with your municipality before undertaking any renovation or expansion work.
For more information, see our blog post, “Minimum Requirements and Dimensions for Bedroom Windows.”
A high-performance door or window provides excellent insulation, reduces heat loss, improves comfort, and lowers energy consumption. Its performance is evaluated using several indices:
- The U-factor: Indicates the heat transfer rate of a material. The lower the U-factor, the more efficient the window.
- The solar factor (CGCS): Indicates the amount of solar energy that can pass through the window. The higher the coefficient, the more efficient the window.
- The RE factor: Indicates the overall energy efficiency of a window. The higher the RE factor, the more efficient the window.
- The R-factor: Indicates a material’s resistance to heat transfer. The higher the R-factor, the better the window’s performance.

Yes, we offer installation services. You can also choose your own installers or do the installation yourself. In the case of new construction, the contractor typically handles it.

If you choose to do the installation yourself, we invite you to consult the “General Requirements” section of the Construction Guide (in French only), which presents the Canadian Standards Association CSA A440.4-07 standard for the installation of doors and windows.
We have designed a guide to taking approximate measurements that explains the method step by step. It even includes a form for easily recording the measurements. You’ll see, it’s easier than you think!
We have created a handy guide complete with valuable tips to help you prepare your home for installation. A glance at this guide will ensure a hassle-free installation!
Yes, it is possible to install windows in winter, and this time of year is often less busy, which can shorten installation times. However, installation cannot be carried out in extremely cold weather (below -15 °C), during storms or ice storms.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, please inform us as soon as possible that you need to postpone the installation, and a new appointment can be scheduled with the installers. Please note that during busy periods, the wait time for scheduling a new appointment may be longer.

Maintenance, troubleshooting and practical advice
The lifespan of doors and windows is approximately 20 to 30 years, depending on the quality of the products and materials. Doors and windows in poor condition will reduce your indoor comfort, increase your energy bill and detract from the appearance of your home. Here are the main signs that your doors and windows may need to be replaced:
- Signs of wear and tear on a window:
- Noticeable drafts around the frame, even when the window is closed
- Mechanisms that are difficult to operate or stick
- Persistent condensation between the two panes of glass
- Damaged, cracked or warped frames
- Signs of wear and tear on a door:
- Drafts near the door
- Condensation or frost on the glass
- Worn, sagging or damaged door threshold
- Door damaged by cracks, dents or holes
- Faulty or difficult-to-operate hardware (handle, lock or hinges)
Are you planning to replace your doors and windows soon?
- Consult our buying guide: renovation

- Condensation on the outside surface of your windows: there is no need to worry; this is a common phenomenon that occurs when the glass surface temperature is lower than the ambient air temperature. This usually happens in spring and late summer, when nights are cooler. This does not affect the performance of your windows; on the contrary, it shows that they are well sealed.
- Condensation on the inside surface of your windows: The problem is not with your windows but with the excessive humidity in your home. However, it is essential to act quickly, as condensation can lead to mould growth. In addition to being harmful to health, mould can cause damage to window frames and surrounding walls.
- Condensation between the two panes: This is probably due to a sealant failure. It also means your window is less energy-efficient. If the structure of your window is in good condition, you may want to consider replacing only the failed sealant.
Fogging between the two panes indicates that the sealed unit is unsealed. This also means your window is less energy-efficient. If the structure of your window is in good condition, you may want to consider replacing only the unsealed unit.
Proper maintenance is the best way to ensure that your doors and windows perform well for many years. We invite you to consult our recommended maintenance guide for tips on cleaning and maintaining your doors and windows.
There are several essential steps to prepare your doors and windows for seasonal changes properly. We have dedicated an entire section of our blog to door and window maintenance, where you will find a wealth of practical advice:
