Why we love fixed windows

Superior energy efficiency

Thanks to its fixed sash design, our fixed window offers optimal weatherproofing, reducing heat loss. It is among the most energy‑efficient solutions on the market.

Maximized glass surface

Its slim, tall and sleek frame allows for a larger glass surface, perfect for highlighting landscapes or creating bright, inviting spaces with abundant natural light.

Architectural combinations

Designed with a fixed sash, it pairs beautifully with casement or awning windows to create stylish architectural arrangements.

Vaillancourt Doors and Windows energy‑efficient glass (double or triple)

Energy‑efficient glass features a microscopic metallic coating. Additionally, an inert gas (argon) is added between the panes, keeping heat inside during winter and cool air during summer months.

In addition to preventing condensation problems, energy‑efficient glass offers unparalleled performance and substantial savings.

1 U factor – W/m2-K (Btu/h ft2-F): Indicates the rate of a material's transfer of heat. The lower the U factor, the higher the window's performance.

2 Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC): Indicates the solar energy that can pass through the window. The higher the coefficient, the higher the window's performance.

3 ER factor: Indicates a window's global energy efficiency. The higher the ER factor, the higher the window's performance.

R factor: Indicates the degree of resistance in a material's temperature transfer. The higher the R factor, the higher the window's performance.
