Why we love awning windows

Openings that protect from rain

We love awning windows because their tilt opening towards the bottom protects the interior of your home from rain, even when the window is open. That way, you can air out your home on hot, humid days even if you aren't home, without having to worry about storms.

Blend well with other models

Awning windows can be combined with other models: The dual casement/awning window is very interesting to give an original touch and extra style to your home. You also benefit from the best of both windows, including the 90° opening of casement windows.

Strong locks for your safety

This model is one of our safest with its single point, strong and durable locks manufactured with two stainless steel latches. Awning windows are themselves an effective barrier for criminals who would like to break and enter your home.

Tilt opening towards the exterior

This system allows for a bottom outward tilting opening. Although the window cannot open fully, it provides excellent ventilation, allowing it to open wider than it is high, while protecting your interior from the rain.

Scissor‑action lever operator (crank)

The crank‑type scissor‑arm operator is designed for easy opening.

Single‑point end locks

Manufactured with two stainless steel keepers, the single‑point lock at the ends offers superior strength and durability for your security.

Resistant screen

The screen has a simple fastening system and is easy to clean. Its fibreglass construction makes it robust and weather‑resistant. The screen frame is made of enamelled aluminium.

Contemporary exterior sash

The contemporary‑style exterior panel features a modern design with clean lines.

Recycled PVC core

Featuring a recycled PVC core, our hybrid awning window is designed to reduce the ecological footprint without compromising on durability or aesthetics. It represents a smart choice for a greener future.

Vaillancourt energy‑efficient glass (double or triple)

Energy‑efficient glass features a microscopic metallic coating. Additionally, an inert gas (argon) is inserted between the panes, helping retain heat in winter and cool air in summer. Besides preventing condensation issues, energy‑efficient glass offers unmatched performance and substantial savings.

1 U factor – W/m2-K (Btu/h ft2-F): Indicates the rate of a material's transfer of heat. The lower the U factor, the higher the window's performance.

2 Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC): Indicates the solar energy that can pass through the window. The higher the coefficient, the higher the window's performance.

3 ER factor: Indicates a window's global energy efficiency. The higher the ER factor, the higher the window's performance.

R factor: Indicates the degree of resistance in a material's temperature transfer. The higher the R factor, the higher the window's performance.
